A poem written for my dad.
To my strong, amazing dad, this one is for you
Your little girl is here to say that she loves you
This isn't goodbye, it's a see you again
You're forever in my heart, for now and for then
Every phone call and every night, we'd finish with I love you
My heart will ache to not hear those words, and your voice too
But in my heart I'll remember the good times
The memories we made, all the laughs and the cries
You worked so hard and taught so much
Though teaching me to drive was actually quite a fuss
I may not have listened, and I may of drove to fast
But I enjoyed every minute with you and every day that passed
From taking me to ballet, and teaching me to swim
To me actually ending up quitting all those things
But I promise everyday that I will make you proud
Each day I'll look up to you within the blue sky and clouds
I know you are reunited with my dear brother up there
Having a laugh with a nice cold pint of beer
I pray you look down on me as I look up to you
Like I did when I was younger and forever will still do
I miss you with all my heart
But I'll see you again as this isn't goodbye
I'll love you forever and always
My Mr. Blue Sky

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
